*HERBAL TINCTURES*

By Wellness Spot
Tinctures are *highly concentrated* liquid extracts made from medicinal plants, and used for their curative properties. They are taken orally to relieve a wide range of health issues, or as a proactive way to support specific ailments.
Herbal Tinctures, like our *Medicated Vinegars (we have nine in our Wellness Spot range)* are more quickly absorbed than capsules or pills, but concentrated in more convenient *smaller bottles – discreet and ideal for carrying anywhere.*
Our bodies utilize about 98% of herbal extracts, about 85% of medicated vinegars, but only about 35% – 50% of capsules and tablets. Tinctures are *far more potent* due to the large concentration of herbs in a smaller dose.
Tinctures usually peaks about 90 minutes after consumption and can last 4-8 hours, depending on the dosage. Because the *effects can be felt so quickly*, one can consume a small amount, wait for the effects and take more if necessary. People often add tinctures to drinks such as herbal teas, purified water, or even yoghurt and smoothies. It can even be *placed under your tongue* if you are brave enough.
The Wellness Spot range of herbal tinctures is made by extracting the active compounds of various herbs using a *Herbasol° proprietary extraction* method – a combination of distilled water and chemical non-intoxicating ethanol. Herbasol tinctures are typically:

– More concentrated

– Faster-acting

– More easily absorbed

– Less likely to cause stomach upset
After long extraction, the remnant *chemical alcohol content is evaporated* and captured in the water. But for certainty, you can place the *drops in warm water, and all minute traces will also evaporate.*
