The above capsules contain the chief ingredient BLACK CUMIN SEED (Nigella Sativa), also known as the Blessed Seed, amongst other heat producing herbs such as ginger and fenugreek. Black Seed has been used extensively as a herbal remedy and as a food condiment for over 3000 of years, it has been mentioned in various divine scriptures too, including the Bible (Ketzah), and has been appreciated by ancient and modern naturopaths too.
Black Cumin is an annual flowering plant in the family Ranunculaceae, native to south and southwest Asia. It grows to 20–30 cm tall, with finely divided, linear (but not thread-like) leaves. The flowers are delicate, and usually colored pale blue and white, with five to ten petals.
